Hello, dear ones!
I'm excited to announce that production is underway for the Bookwifery podcast and that I am working toward a June 1st(ish) launch.
Isn't that exciting?! I'm thrilled. This is something I've been aching to do for a very long time.
Opening topics for the show will include:
- How to discern if you're pregnant with a book
- What you need to know about the book publishing experience before birthing a book
- The importance of a three-tiered approach to publishing in the general nonfiction space
And that's just the beginning!
Additionally, I am happy to announce that the podcast officially has a dedicated intro track.
This was a really fun part of the process and probably took about 10 hours to pull together, all told. The process included combing through a music licensing site to find a music bed for the show opening; writing and editing an intro script; recording the intro script; combining the music with the recorded script; and learning and applying some basic podcast editing skills in Garage Band.
It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun, and I learned a lot.
(Also, it may have taken me more than 10 hours if you count the extra time I spent sharing the top music contenders with Kirk and a few friends, hemming and hawing over final decisions, and listening the final recording, oh, a couple dozen times.)
Want a sneak peek of the 30-second podcast intro? You can listen to it here.
Again, I'm shooting for a June 1st(ish) launch date and will start the unfolding with several episodes available for you to download at once.
In the meantime, I'd love to hear if there are any topics you'd like to hear me cover on the show. You can leave a comment below with your ideas.
I'm excited to share with you this new way of supporting you in your book-birthing journey and hope you'll join me for the ongoing conversation!
